Set in beautiful, secluded woodland surrounded by nature, Woodland Park Lodges offers the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of life.
Not only is it a peaceful escape to nature, did you know that we also provide plenty of ways in which we, and our guests, can help support nature and the environment too?
A home for wildlife
Within our 52-acres, as well as being temporary home to our guests throughout the year, our woodland provides plenty of permanent homes to nature too. In this quiet and peaceful place, you may be lucky enough to spot busy squirrels foraging amongst the leaves during the day, the ghostly view of an owl at dusk, or nocturnal foxes and badgers at play. Not to mention plenty of resident British birds, flora and fauna for keen bird watchers and budding young naturalists to be mesmerised by.
A walk on the wild side
Whether you have come for a relaxing break away or want to embrace the great outdoors, nothing beats the chance to get back to nature as a way to unwind. With plenty of nature reserves and trails throughout the region, as well as some delightful woodland walk options for gentle strolls around our site, there are walks suitable for all generations, and not forgetting our four-legged friends. There’s no better way to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty on foot, and this does wonders for the environment too.
Peddle power
The same goes for cycling. Guests are encouraged to bring their bikes and explore the local area by two wheels, rather than by four with their car. Of course, some things in the area are a little bit beyond the direct reach of even the most able cyclist and may need a short drive to get there. But there’s nothing like a fun day out cycling with the family, especially if it involves a picnic! Just please remember to bring your rubbish back to our lodges to our on-site recycle bins. We recycle as much as we possibly can, to further help the environment.
At one with nature
Speaking of recycling, that has never been truer than with our exciting new development. We are doing our best to reduce, reuse and recycle in the construction of our beautiful new tree lodges, which are being built from our very own timber straight from our forest. But we’re not chopping down healthy trees, we’re using the wood from trees which have been lost or damaged in storms. We can’t wait to share more details of this exciting new offering of our new tree lodges, coming soon!
Before these are ready, 11 of our current beautiful lodges are waiting for your stay. Book direct with us now for your perfect break with nature.
